MORE INFORMATION FOR LINDOS Information Office The information office is located at the square and will help everyone to enjoy their holidays. Buses There is a regular bus service between Lindos - Rhodes and back, stopping at villages along the way. Timetable in the square. Taxis During the day there is a taxi rank in the square. At other times a taxi can be booked. Tel: 22440 31466. Boats There are daily boat trips from Lindos to neighboring beaches. Self-drive car and motorbike hire There are several agencies in the village. Airlines The airline offices are in Rhodes but also there are several agencies in the village. Use them as a local taxi. They will take you to the acropolis, to the beach or elsewhere for a fee. Donkey station near the square. Post Office Post office is located at the way to acropolis near the center of the village. Police Station The police station is located near the Stavri square (parking). Banks and ATM The Commercial bank of Greece is located near the main square. Newspapers and Magazines English and foreign newspapers are available at newsagents and some supermarkets. Newspapers are always a day late in Greece. Magazines are more expensive than usually found in UK. Water & electricity Tap water is safe to drink, however bottled water can be bought in the local supermarkets. The electricity voltage is 220 Volt and adapters can be bought in the local shops. Laundry There is a small laundry located at the center of the village that offers a wash & dry service and will even iron. Library The "Lindos lending library" is located in the Lindos Laundry. Shopping Supermarkets, greengrocers, bakery, tourist shops, jeweler's, ... Open from 09:00 - 21:00 daily except Sundays when they close

Athena, the acropolis is one of the best known sites in Greece and can be
reached by foot or lindos-taxi. (Donkeys). Open from 08:30 - 14:40 daily except Monday. The Byzantine Church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the walls are covered with 18th Century frescoes. Open to visitors from 9:00 - 15:00 and from 16:30 - 18:00 daily, except Sundays that they close at 15:00, it is well worth a visit. Also the morning hours 9:00 - 15:00 you can visit a small but nice museum inside the church with a small fee. Beaches There are three beaches in Lindos. The main beach, the small beach and Saint Paul's bay. All beach have sun bed's, umbrella's, restaurant and cafe's. The water-sports center is situated on the main and small beach and offers Windsurfing, skiing, bananas and ringos. Pedaloes and fresh water showers are also available.
